We are pleased to announce that once again St Eugene Parish (in Wendell) will officially be sponsoring the John 6:35 Eucharistic Youth Retreat for all the teens and young adults (aged 13-30) from the parishes of the Raleigh and Charlotte dioceses.
With the blessing of Bishop Burbidge, this coming year's retreat will take place
FRIDAY APRIL 9th - SUNDAY APRIL 11th, 2010 (Divine Mercy Sunday) at Cardinal Gibbons H.S. in Raleigh.
Register by Jan 30th and take $5.00 off!!
For those of you who haven't yet had a chance to attend one of these weekends...
...They are a wonderful, and sometimes life changing, experience for our young participants and adult chaperones alike!
With a blend of "in your face" catechesis, traditional devotions of the Church, awesome praise and worship music, devoted and dynamic speakers, break-out sessions, the opportunity for reconciliation throughout, and, have I mentioned, JESUS IN THE EUCHARIST,… it’s a great weekend for all.
We hope you will consider it on your schedule of events this year. As someone who has been involved in youth ministry and Confirmation catechesis formation for over 25 years in the diocese - this format for a retreat was truly a God send. Costs for the retreat are kept at a minimum, ($40) to make it as available as possible for everyone AND IF you can register by January 30th take an additional $5.00 off per person!
